Wireless@Virginia Tech is offering a summer undergraduate research program in Cognitive Communications. I am hoping that you can let appropriate students at Arizona State know about this program that offers students a chance to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge topics in communications and networking.
The nine-week summer program will run from June 5 through August 3, 2012. The application deadline is April 13, so prompt action is needed. Students will gain hands-on experience in cognitive radios, wireless networking, and their applications; develop general research and teamwork skills; and cultivate and develop creative and independent thinking, self-confidence, team spirit, and an appreciation for the potential of interdisciplinary collaboration in creating new knowledge. Program benefits include:
· Stipend ($4,500 over 9 weeks)
· Free on-campus housing
· Travel allowance of up to $600
To be eligible, students must currently be in sophomore, junior, or senior status (but cannot be graduating before the summer). The application form and additional information are at:
